WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE PURCHASE PROCESS
Hello Future Puppy Parents!
We want to share some information that we feel is important while we wait for our babies to arrive & grow…
First and most importantly, feel free to reach out anytime. We are available just about 24/7 and always here for our puppy parents, before, during and after birth and puppy pick up day.
We absolutely LOVE keeping in contact with our puppy parents and being able to see occasional photos of the babies growing up. So please know that when taking one of our babies home, you are becoming a part of our Fur Family and we expect our family to keep in touch.
First step for future puppy parents:
The first step you need to take when interested in adding one of our babies to your family is to request to join our waiting list for the particular litter of your choice. Use the “Planned Litters” link above to access our list of planned pairings. This list will provide you with information on the Sire and Dam as well as the estimated mating and labor/delivery date for each upcoming litter. Once you have decided which planned litter you hope to purchase a puppy from, click the “Join the Waiting List” button for that particular pairing. You will then be forwarded to a questionnaire form that you will complete for our review. Once we have reviewed your completed form, we will reach out with any follow up questions as well as let you know your status on our waiting list approval. Upon waiting list approval a non-refundable deposit of $500 will be required to reserve your spot on the list that you have chosen.
What to expect moving forward:
In an effort to keep everyone informed in real time, we will create a private Facebook group for our puppy parents of each individual litter. This members only group is separate from our main Facebook page and is only for the parents approved for the waiting list of the puppies in your chosen litter. Please use the included link to access and “LIKE” our main Facebook page so that we may send you the private group invite.

If you are not currently a member of Facebook, please sign up so that you will be able to participate in the group. Please keep your notifications on for this group as it will be used to update everyone as our Mama’s pregnancy & labor progresses. We will post all updates as they come including vet exams for pregnancy confirmation and puppy count, signs of labor start, labor progression, mom's status, puppy sex count, etc...
After the puppies are born:
Once all puppies have been delivered and are happy and healthy after a few hours with Mama, we will take individual photos to send to you. Photos will be sent in Waiting List order for each puppy parent to make their puppy pick. Once you have made your puppy pick, we will forward your Puppy Purchase Contract via email for eSignature. We do ask that you choose your puppy within 24 hours of receiving the photos so that the next person on our list can make their pick. If anyone is not able to make their pick within the 24 hour window, that pick would then move to the end of the list and we would move on to the next person in line. Once all puppy picks have been made and all contracts signed and received, we will forward each puppy parent our scheduling page for Puppy Pick Up Day so that you can choose the best time frame for your puppy pick up. The scheduling picks will go in the same order as the puppy picks.
After you have chosen your puppy:
During the 8 weeks that your baby is with us, you will receive constant updates. Our website and Facebook group is updated weekly. Every Sunday evening, we will update photos and weight. We also post random photos throughout the week, prior to our Sunday updates. In addition to the photo updates, we have a live puppy cam that we use to share play time starting at 4 weeks old.
You will receive an abundance of info for your new pup via the Facebook group so pay attention to all postings as anything posted in the private group only pertains to your baby's litter.
Feel free to communicate with all members of the private group as you are all raising siblings and are all anxiously awaiting the pick up of your new baby. The private group will remain active after the puppies have gone to their FurEver homes so that all of my puppy parents from each litter can keep in touch. This not only allows everyone to see their pups siblings growing up but it also allows us to see occasional updates of our babies in their FurEver homes. Share stories, experience, ask questions, give tips or advice, etc… We are all family now.
In addition to always being available for calls, texts and emails, we can schedule FaceTime calls with you and your pup if you would like. If you are close enough and would like an in person visit, we are willing to schedule such visits at 4 weeks old and older so that Mom is comfortable with it.
We ask all puppy parents to provide us with the name you have chosen for your puppy no later than 6 weeks old. We pre register the litter with AKC so we will need the puppies name for that. We include our kennel name in all AKC registered names.
An example for this is:
If you have chosen the call name, “Max” with the full name “Snow Legend Maximus” the AKC registered name will be “Stars Howl-O’s Snow Legend Maximus”.
Puppy Healthcare:
Puppies will come with first vaccines (core vaccinations ONLY) and will have been tested for parasites at 4 and 7 weeks old. Dewormer will only be given for a positive parasite result and will only be the dewormer to treat the specific parasite present. If all tests are negative, puppies will not receive a dewormer as we feel it’s best to give our babies as little chemicals as possible.
Puppies will not be microchipped and we strongly recommend that any puppy parent interested in the microchip wait until the pup is a minimum of 12 months old. Microchips can migrate inside the body and it is more common when the pup is not yet full grown. Our recommendation is to go with a GPS tracking collar.
Puppy Nutrition:
All of our Mals and their offspring are raised on Life’s Abundance. We firmly believe that food makes a lot of difference and we stand by the Life’s Abundance brand. We recommend puppies be fed Life’s Abundance, Large Breed Puppy food until 18 months of age. At 18 months of age, it is recommended that you gradually start the switch to Life’s Abundance, All Life Stages formula. Depending on the amount of exercise your baby is getting at age 2 and older will determine if you should be choosing the Standard All Life Stages formula or the Grain Free All Life Stages formula.
Please keep in mind that your puppy will have been eating and adjusting to this puppy food for 2 weeks prior to pick up. If you decide (as we recommend) to continue the regiments and proportions of the recommended daily intake of this food for your puppy, we will extend our health guarantee for 1 year. This extended guarantee will be included with your contract for eSignature. If you plan to switch the pups' food, I do suggest getting the small bag to gradually switch them to the new brand. Any switch should always include a mixture of the current food and the new food that should decrease the current food portion and increase the new food portion until you are feeding nothing but the new food. Any abrupt change in diet will result in a pup with an upset belly and a mess for you to clean multiple times a day. Not something you or your puppy will enjoy. You should place your food order in advance to avoid any delay in shipping. Once you have your first bag, you may elect to be on an autoship so that your pup is never running out of food. Autoship also offers a significant discount.

Puppy Pick Up/Delivery Day:
You will receive a puppy take home packet on pick up day that will include a copy of all veterinary records so that you may provide this info to your family veterinarian.
As a small “Thank You” to each of our puppy parents, we like to get you started on pick up day with a gift bag including a few much needed items for you and your new FurEver Friend. Each gift bag will include a few custom made “FurEver Friends” items as well as a Nylabone Teething Chew Toy and a Furminator Dematting Rake.
Custom FurEver Friends Items Include:
Doggy Diaper/Tote Bag, Food & Water Bowls, Collar & Leash Set, Pet Journal, Puppy Blanket and Treat Jar filled with our Homemade Treats.
